WHEN: Monday, June 18 at 8 p.m. to Tuesday, June 19 at 8 p.m.
WHERE: 5 Mile Road, north of N. Territorial Road and parallel to US-23 in Northfield Township
WHY: Road resurfacing by MDOT
BACKGROUND: On Monday, June 18, 2018, at approximately 8 p.m., the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close 5 Mile Road, North of N. Territorial Road and parallel to US-23 in Northfield Township to resurface the road as a part of the US-23 Flex Route project.
The road is expected to be reopened by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
MDOT will also be closing the following ramps in the coming days:
- Monday, June 18, at 8 p.m. to Tuesday, June 19, at 7 a.m.
- NB US-23 Barker Road off ramp (Use 6 Mile Road-Exit 50)
- NB M-36 exit loop ramp (Use 8 Mile Road-Exit 53)
- Tuesday, June 19, at 8 p.m. to Wednesday, June 20, at 7 a.m.
- NB off ramp to 6 Mile Road (Detour to Exit 49-N. Territorial Road to Whitmore Lake Road north to 6 Mile Road)
- Tuesday, June 19, at 7 p.m. to Wednesday, June 20, at 5 a.m.
- SB off ramp to 6 Mile Road (Detour to Exit 49-N. Territorial Road to Whitmore Lake Road north to 6 Mile Road)
