Since we closed the road on July 5, the contractor has begun to remove the existing bridge. One of the next major steps will be to install the cofferdam (steel sheeting enclosure to keep water out of the work area) in preparation of constructing the bridge foundation. Please remember this is a construction work zone and only authorized personnel are permitted in the work zone for safety reasons.
