WHAT: Public Information Meeting regarding the Shield Road Bridge Replacement Project

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a Public Information Meeting for the bridge replacement project located on Shield Road over Mill Creek, located between Parker Road and Baker Road in Scio Township on Tuesday, June 6 at 6 pm in the cafeteria at Mill Creek Middle School.
The meeting will include a brief presentation at 6 pm and will be followed by an open house format, providing individual citizens with the opportunity to discuss the proposed project with WCRC staff, design engineer, and the construction contractor.
The bridge replacement project will begin on June 12, 2017 and is expected to be completed in early October. Shield Rd will be closed throughout construction, with traffic detoured to Parker Rd, Dexter-Chelsea Rd, Main St and Baker Rd. Utility relocation work is currently being completed by others.
