Why: To inform the public of proposed improvements to State Road at Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township and city of Ann Arbor.
Background
The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a Public Information Meeting to present and discuss the preliminary modern roundabout footprint for the upcoming State Road at Ellsworth Road intersection improvement project.
The meeting will be held at the Pittsfield Township Hall, 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 starting at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will begin with a presentation by our design consultant, DLZ Michigan, Inc. At the conclusion of the presentation, members of the audience will be provided an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project with WCRC staff and its consultant.
The project is scheduled for construction in 2013. The scope of this meeting is to discuss the layout of the improvement, answer common facts and myths of modern roundabouts, and address miscellaneous questions. Details concerning construction duration, project costs, and construction impacts to adjacent and nearby properties will not be available at this meeting. This information will be shared at a later date.
