Posted on September 30, 2008

What: Traffic Signal Construction

When: October 1, 2008 through January 15, 2009

Where: Signalized intersections along Dixboro Road from Geddes Road to Huron River Drive and Clark Road from Hogback Road to Golfside Road and continuing on Huron River Drive to Leforge Road in Ypsilanti, Superior, Ann Arbor and Pittsfield Townships and in the City of Ypsilanti.

Why: Traffic signal modernization and interconnection

Background

Beginning on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, intermittent lane closures will begin along Dixboro Road from Geddes Road to Huron River Drive and Clark Road from Hogback Road to Golfside Road and continuing on Huron River Drive to Leforge Road in Ypsilanti, Superior, Ann Arbor and Pittsfield Townships and in the City of Ypsilanti, to upgrade and interconnect the traffic signals.

These sections of roadway will remain open with temporary lane closures during the day. Therefore, motorists are advised to expect delays and encouraged to seek an alternate route.

It is anticipated that this project will be completed by January 15, 2009. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.

To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
