When: From July 7, 2008 through September 29, 2008

Where: Merritt Road from Tuttle Hill Road to the Gorton Drain in Ypsilanti Township

Why: Road Construction

Background

Beginning on Monday July 7, 2008, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose a ROAD CLOSURE on Merritt Road from Tuttle Hill Road to the Gorton Drain in Ypsilanti Township, for road construction and paving of this road segment.

Area residents and motorists will be temporarily impacted during construction and the road closure. A detour route will be posted. No through traffic will be allowed, however access for residents within the closure will be maintained.

It is anticipated that this project will be completed and the road reopened to traffic on Monday, September 29, 2008. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.

To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
