Sealed bid proposals will be received by the
Washtenaw County Road Commission at the
Administration Building Main Reception Desk, 555
North Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, until 11:00
a.m. Local Time, Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at which
time they will be publicly opened and read for
constructing the following:
WILLIS ROAD, EMERSON DRIVE TO CARPENTER ROAD
PLATT ROAD, 1100 FEET S. OF WILLIS ROAD TO 600 FEET N. OF BEMIS ROAD
BEMIS ROAD, 600 FEET W. OF PLATT ROAD TO 1500 FEET E. OF PLATT ROAD
US-23 NB AND SB RAMP TERMINALS
RECONSTRUCTION AND WIDENING PROJECT
Located in Sections 2, 3, 10, and 11 of York Township and Sections 34 and 35 of Pittsfield Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. The project consists of approximately 16,300 feet of road reconstruction and widening with hot mix asphalt pavement, enclosed storm drainage, and traffic signal installation. Work items include earthwork, hot mix asphalt, aggregate shoulders, storm sewer construction, traffic signal, pavement markings, restoration and other related items set forth in the bid documents.
Proposals, plans, bid forms, and other information will be available on Monday, July 23, 2007, for a $110.00 non-refundable fee for one complete set of plans and specifications (mailing $15.00 extra, unless a FEDEX number is provided) at the Washtenaw County Road Commission Administration Building at the above address.
Prospective bidders shall conform to the Michigan Department of Transportation’s pre-qualification requirements Cb or Ea. All subcontractors shall be required to meet the prequalification class of the particular items that they will be working on as part of this project.
Bids shall be completed on the provided form(s). Bids shall be signed by an authorized agent of the bidder, and submitted in a sealed envelope that is plainly marked on the outside as to the contents. Bids failing to meet these requirements will not be considered.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of the same; to waive irregularities and/or informalities and to make the award in part or entirety as may appear to be in the best interest of the County of Washtenaw.
