Why: Asphalt Paving Operations
Background
The Washtenaw County Road Commission has scheduled asphalt paving operations on Pleasant Lake Road from Steinbach Road to Parker Road in Lodi Twp beginning on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. These paving operations are expected to take approximately four (4) days. During these daytime activities, traffic will be restricted to one-lane under flag control operation. Access for residents and deliveries will be maintained, however, delays are likely; the asphalt will have to be allowed to cool to prevent damaging the newly placed material.
In addition, the Road Commission has scheduled asphalt paving operations on North Territorial Road from 0.3 miles west of Madden Road to Dexter-Pinckney Road in Dexter Twp beginning on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. These paving operations are expected to take approximately five (5) days. Again, traffic will be restricted to one-lane under flag control operation and access for residents and deliveries will be maintained, however, delays are likely.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly. The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to preserve the county road system.
