What: Traffic Restrictions
When: Starting Saturday, June 26, 2010
Where: Textile Road from Carpenter Road and Munger Road in Pittsfield Township
Why: Roadway Resurfacing / Asphalt Paving Operations
Background
On Saturday, June 26, 2010, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin asphalt paving operations on Textile Road from Carpenter Road to Munger Road. This paving operation is expected to take approximately two (2) days (Saturday and Monday). During these daytime activities, TRAFFIC WILL BE RESTRICTED to one-lane under flag control operation. Access for residents and deliveries will be maintained, however, delays are likely. The asphalt will have to be allowed to cool to prevent damaging the newly placed material.
Please note that all dates are tentative and the asphalt paving operations are weather dependent.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly. The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to preserve the county road system.
