Where: State Road between Old State Road and Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Twp
Why: Roadway Resurfacing / Asphalt Paving Operations
Background
On Wednesday, June 23, 2010, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin asphalt paving operations on State Road between Old State and Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township. These paving operations are expected to take approximately five (5) days. During these daytime activities, traffic will be restricted to one-lane under flag control operations. Access for residents, businesses and deliveries will be maintained, however, delays are likely; the asphalt will have to be allowed to cool to prevent damaging the newly placed material.
Please note that all dates are tentative and the asphalt paving operations are weather dependent.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly. The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to preserve the county road system.
