Why: Preventative Maintenance / Concrete Pavement Repair and Joint Sealing
Background
On Wednesday, June 16, 2010, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin rehabilitating concrete panels, repairing joints and resealing joints on Jackson Road between the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store and Wagner Road as well as on Zeeb Road from Park Road to I-94. The concrete pavement repairs and joint sealing are expected to take approximately two (2) weeks. During these daytime activities, traffic will be restricted to one-lane of travel in the areas being repaired.
Due to the nature of concrete, cure time is required; traffic restrictions will remain in place until it is safe to place traffic on the newly repaired areas. Access for residents, businesses and deliveries will be maintained. Please note that all dates are tentative and the asphalt paving operations are weather dependent.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly. The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to preserve the county road system.
