Milan-Oakville Traffic Delays

Posted on September 28, 2009

What: Traffic Delays / Roadway Construction

When: Monday, September 28, 2009 - Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Where: Milan-Oakville Road, Sanford Road to Gooding Road

Why: Asphalt Paving Operations

Background

The Washtenaw County Road Commission has scheduled asphalt paving operations on Milan-Oakville Road, extending from 0.25-mile east of Sanford Road to 0.5-mile east of Gooding Road, beginning on Monday, September 28, 2009. These paving operations are expected to take three (3) days.  During these daytime activities, access for residents and deliveries will be maintained.  However, DELAYS are likely; the asphalt will have to be allowed to cool to prevent damaging the newly placed material.

Only those motorists traveling to addresses within the construction zone should be using Milan-Oakville Road.  All other motorists are advised to follow the posted detour routes.

AUTOMOBILE DETOUR ROUTE (cars, pickups, motorcycles, etc.) Whittaker Road, Willow Road, Carpenter Road

TRUCK DETOUR ROUTE Wanty Road, Darling Road, Plank Road

To maintain the safety of road crews, residents within the construction zone are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly.  The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to complete this project.
