Why: Asphalt Paving Operations
Background
The Washtenaw County Road Commission and Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. have scheduled the start of asphalt paving operations at the Plymouth Road @ Gotfredson Road intersection for Tuesday, September 15, 2009. These paving operations are expected to take three (3) days. During these daytime activities, traffic on Plymouth Road and Gotfredson Road will be limited to one lane.
Flag persons will be present to direct traffic through the construction zone. Delays are likely, and motorists are advised to seek an alternate route, if possible.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly. The posted speed limit on Plymouth Road and Gotfredson Road has been reduced to 45 mph for the duration of construction.
