What: Intermittent Lane Closure / Road Improvements
When: Monday, September 14, 2009 through Thursday, September 17, 2009
Where: State Road north of Michigan Avenue (US-12) and Moon Road south of Michigan Avenue in Pittsfield Township
Why: Road Construction
Background
On Monday, September 14, 2009 through Thursday September 17, 2009, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose an INTERMITTENT LANE CLOSURE with flag control on State Road north of Michigan Avenue (US-12) and Moon Road south of Michigan Avenue in Pittsfield Township to mill the existing pavement and place pavement for road improvements on this road segment.
Through traffic will be maintained with temporary lane closures and flag control. Delays should be expected during construction and motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes. Residents and businesses will be contacted regarding activities that may temporarily limit driveway access.
It is anticipated that the milling and paving operation will be completed on Thursday, September 17, 2009. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
