What: Road Closure / Road Improvements
When: Monday, June 15, 2009
Where: Milan-Oakville Road between Murray Avenue and Goodling Road
Why: Construction Start / Road Closure
Background
On Monday, June 15, 2009, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose a ROAD CLOSURE on Milan-Oakville Road between Murray Avenue and Goodling Road to all but local traffic. The proposed construction will include sections of both full-depth road reconstruction and widening of the existing pavement with an asphalt overlay.
A detour route will be posted for passenger vehicles as well as an alternate truck route. Local traffic will be maintained for motorists traveling to / from residential and business addresses. Residents and businesses will be contacted regarding activities that may temporarily limit driveway access. The above noted road closure is expected to be in place through mid-September, 2009.
Safety is the most important aspect of this project. Please be mindful of the equipment, trucks, and personnel on the site. Please be attentive to all signs. If it is necessary for you to drive through the construction zone, please proceed at a slower, prudent speed. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to county road system are completed.
