What: Lane Closure / Road Improvements
When: Saturday, June 27, 2009 through Monday June 29, 2009
Where: Michigan Avenue (US-12) east of State Road in Pittsfield Township
Why: Road Construction
Background
On Saturday, June 27, 2009 through Monday June, 29, 2009, the Washtenaw County Road Commission in coordination with the Michigan Department of Transportation will impose a LANE CLOSURE on Michigan Avenue (US-12) east of State Road in Pittsfield Township to install a storm sewer and place pavement for the road crossing in preparation for road improvements on this road segment.
Through traffic shall be maintained with temporary lane closures and flag control. Delays should be expected during construction and motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes. Residents and businesses will be contacted regarding activities that may temporarily limit driveway access.
It is anticipated that the storm sewer installation will be completed by Sunday, June 28, 2009 and the paving of the crossing will be completed on Monday, June 29, 2009. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
