What: Bridge replacement

When: Monday, June 29, 2009

Where: Plymouth Road Bridge over Fleming Creek, Superior Township

Why: Construction Start / ROAD CLOSURE

Background

The Washtenaw County Road Commission has scheduled the closure of the Plymouth Road Bridge over the Fleming Creek, located between Vorhies Road and M-153 in Section 8 of Superior Township, beginning on Monday, June 29, 2009. This closure will permit the construction of a new bridge and associated road improvements. The closure is expected to last into late-September 2009.

During the closure period a signed detour will be in place directing motorists to use Ford Road, between Plymouth Road and M-153, as the alternate route.

Access for local traffic on Plymouth Road, to the west and east of the bridge location, will be maintained during the closure. However, there will be no through traffic allowed at the Fleming Creek crossing.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we undertake these improvements.
