Why: Whittaker Road at Stony Creek Road Intersection Improvement Project
Background
The Washtenaw County Road Commission is holding a Modern Roundabout Educational Seminar for the upcoming Whittaker Road at Stony Creek Road intersection improvement project. You are invited to this meeting led by our consultant, DLZ Michigan, Inc. to hear about the benefits and operation of modern roundabouts, identify myths and facts of these intersections, and discuss in general terms the aspects of the preliminary design. WCRC staff and our consultant will be available to answer questions from the audience.
Construction on the Whittaker Road / Stony Creek Road intersection improvement project has been programmed for 2010. At this point in the design process, WCRC staff may be unable to answer project specific design questions such as construction duration, detours, and road closures. However, we will listen to comments and note concerns from audience participants and incorporate remarks where appropriate.
