What: Road Closure

Where: Ernst Road just west of Reno Road in Freedom Township
Why: Crude Oil Pipeline Maintenance
Background
Beginning on Monday February 16, 2009, Ernst Road just west of Reno Road will be TEMPORARY CLOSED to permit the Enbridge Energy Company to perform maintenance on their pipeline that crosses under the roadway.
Area residents and motorists will be temporarily impacted during construction and the road closure. A detour route will be posted. No through traffic will be allowed, however access for residents within the closure will be maintained.
It is anticipated that this project will be completed and the road reopened to traffic on Monday, February 23, 2009. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
The recommended DETOUR for this temporary road closure is Bethel Church Road to Lima Center Road to Hieber Road. The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as the Enbridge Energy Company completes this required maintenance.
