Clark Road Lane Restrictions

Posted on August 5, 2009

What: Asphalt milling, paving operations

When: Wednesday, August 12 and Thursday, August 13, 2009

Where: Clark Road, Golfside Road to Hogback Road

Why: Traffic Lane Restrictions / Traffic Delays

Background

The Washtenaw County Road Commission has scheduled asphalt milling and paving operations on Clark Road between Golfside Road and Hogback Road, beginning on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. The existing asphalt pavement surface will be removed by cold milling, and a new asphalt surface will be paved. These activities will continue on Thursday, August 13, 2009. The work is weather dependent.

Traffic LANE RESTRICTIONS will be necessary to complete this portion of the Clark Road project. Traffic delays are likely. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route, if possible. However, access for those residences, businesses, and the Washtenaw Community College, within the construction zone will be maintained.

To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of the construction activities, including personnel and equipment, and reduce speeds accordingly. During the placement of the hot asphalt, pedestrians and bicyclists should keep clear of the area; burns are possible from contact with hot asphalt.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we complete these necessary road improvements.
