Background
Construction of the new concrete curb and gutter along the north side of Holmes Road, between Rue Deauville and Ford Boulevard, is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 2nd. Weather permitting, the north side curb and gutter is expected to be completed by Thursday, July 3rd.
Dan’s Excavating, the project prime contractor, will be providing shared driveway access locations for north side residents. Residents will be advised of these locations. Your cooperation in this regard will help us expedite this construction operation. To attain sufficient strength to carry vehicle loads, the newly placed concrete curb and gutter will require curing time, typically three to five (3-5) days. During this time north side residents should continue to use the shared driveway access locations. In addition, concrete driveway approaches and sidewalks are to be constructed. The schedule for these activities is currently being discussed with the contractor. Residents may experience some inconvenience during these operations, again due to the necessary concrete curing time. As needed, we will gladly assist residents who require driveway access due to unexpected issues that may arise during the curing of the concrete. As always, emergency vehicles will continue to have immediate access to residences. If you have questions or concerns, please refer to the contact information below.
