The Washtenaw County Road Commission will host a Public Information Meeting to review the upcoming reconstruction of Holmes Road, between Rue Deauville and Spencer Lane in Ypsilanti Township. The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ypsilanti Township Fire Department-Central Station, 222 South Ford Boulevard, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48198.
The roadway improvements along this segment of Holmes Road will be very similar to those completed from Prospect Road to Rue Deauville in 2006. The project will include watermain improvements, enclosed drainage along both sides of Holmes Road (concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer), sidewalk construction, and the reconstruction of the road base, followed by hot mix asphalt paving.
The meeting will include a brief presentation at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by an Open House format, providing individual citizens with the opportunity to discuss the project with Road Commission staff.
