Why: To provide the public with information on the (Dexter) Main Street Bridge over Mill Creek Replacement and Mill Creek Dam Removal Projects
Background
The Washtenaw County Road Commission has scheduled a PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING to review the impending replacement of the (Dexter) Main Street Bridge over Mill Creek and the removal of the Mill Creek Dam, located in the Village of Dexter and Scio Township. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mill Creek Middle School, 7305 Dexter-Ann Arbor Road, Dexter, Michigan 48130.
The proposed improvements will include the removal and replacement of the (Dexter) Main Street Bridge over Mill Creek, removal of the Mill Creek Dam and related sedimentation management activities, and road approach work along Dexter-Main Street, Dexter-Pinckney Road, and Dexter-Chelsea Road.
The meeting will include a brief presentation at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by an Open House format, providing individual citizens with the opportunity to discuss the project with Road Commission staff, Village of Dexter officials, and consultant representatives.
