What: Watermain Construction / Flagging Operation
When: Monday, July 28, 2008
Where: Ford Boulevard at the Holmes Road Intersection
Why: Holmes Road, Phase 2 project - watermain improvements
Background
On Monday, July 28, 2008, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA) and Dan’s Excavating, Inc. will be initiating the construction of a watermain crossing of Ford Boulevard at the Holmes Road intersection. Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed on Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
Two-way traffic will be maintained during this work utilizing a flagging operation. Motorists should be mindful of the traffic regulators (flaggers) and construction equipment at the intersection. Delays are likely and motorists should seek an alternate route, if possible.
The WCRC has notified the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department of this watermain work and related flagging operation. The WCRC and YCUA appreciate your continued patience as these necessary improvements are completed.
