What: Concrete Paving Operation
When: Thursday, July 17, 2008 and Friday, July 18, 2008
Where: Carpenter Road between Michigan Avenue (US-12) and Ellsworth Road
Why: Reconstruction and Widening Project
Background
Beginning Thursday, July 17, 2008, concrete paving will take place on Carpenter Road between Michigan Avenue (US-12) and Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township, for the reconstruction and widening of this road segment. The paving operation is expected to take two days to complete.
Carpenter Road will remain open to traffic, however, intermittent lane closures and long delays are expected. Therefore, motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
It is anticipated that the Carpenter Road project will be completed and all lanes will be reopened to traffic by August 2008. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
