What: Paving Underway - Intermittent Traffic Delays Expected

Background
On Thursday, November 1, 2007, the paving of OLD US-12, will continue. The Washtenaw County Road Commission has established LANE RESTRICTIONS on Old US-12, between M-52 (Main Street) and Gene Drive in the City of Chelsea, Sylvan Township that will remain in effect throughout the resurfacing and related work.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained during the paving, with INTERMITTENT TRAFFIC DELAYS occurring. Therefore, motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. Access for residents and business owners within the construction zone will be maintained.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please drive cautiously through the work zone. A temporary construction speed limit of 35 MPH is also in effect.
The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
