When: From Monday, October 22, 2007, through Friday, October 26, 2007

Where: On Hewitt Road, from Ellsworth Road to Michigan Avenue (US-12), in Ypsilanti Township

Why: Utility Disconnect and Pavement Restoration

Background

Beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose an INTERMITTENT SINGLE AND DOUBLE LANE CLOSURES on Hewitt Road, from Ellsworth Road to Michigan Avenue (US-12), in Ypsilanti Township, for utility disconnection and pavement restoration.

This section of Hewitt Road will remain OPEN during the lane closure and lane shift, but there could be significant DELAYS. Therefore, motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

It is anticipated that this project will be completed and all lanes will be reopened to traffic by approximately 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2007. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.

To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones! The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
