When: From Wednesday, September 26, 2007 through the end of November 2007.
Where: State Road, between Textile Road and Whitmore Boulevard, in Pittsfield Township
Why: To construct a center-left turn lane on State Road and road approach with acceleration and deceleration lanes, to service the Sweetwater Corporate Park
Background
Beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose INTERMITTENT LANE CLOSURES on State Road, between Textile Road and Whitmore Boulevard in Pittsfield Township, to widen State Road for an interconnected center left-turn lane and to construct a road approach with acceleration and deceleration lanes to service the Sweetwater Corporate Park.
Motorists should be aware that flaggers/traffic regulators will be utilized to maintain one lane of traffic through this construction zone during working hours. Both directions of traffic will be open otherwise. Motorists should expect delays while traveling through this area.
It is anticipated that this project will be completed and all lanes will be reopened to traffic by the end of November 2007. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones! The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
