What: Road Resurfacing Project
When: Beginning Monday, September 10, 2007 through October 2007
Where: Ford Boulevard, between Holmes Road and Russell Street in Ypsilanti Township
Why: Impending Traffic Restrictions, Project Details, and Contact Information
Background
Beginning on Monday, September 10, 2007, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose LANE and SPEED RESTRICTIONS on FORD BOULEVARD, between Holmes Road and Russell Street in Ypsilanti Township for the resurfacing of Ford Boulevard and related work.
One lane of traffic in each direction (northbound/southbound) will be maintained on Ford Boulevard during the construction activities. The lane restrictions will remain in place throughout the project, which is scheduled for completion in October. Intermittent traffic delays are likely. Motorists are asked to remain patient during these delays.
Access for residents within the construction zone will be maintained. Residents will be contacted regarding activities that may temporarily limit driveway access, such as concrete curb and gutter repairs.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the work zone. The posted speed limit within the project limits will be reduced to 30 mph. The Road Commission has notified the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department of this road work and related speed reduction. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
