What: Delay in the completion of the third Maple Road roundabout (Stage 2)
When: Estimated completion is mid-September 2007
Where: Maple Road, located in Scio Township
Why: REVISED completion date for Stage 2 of this road improvement project
Background
Due to weather conditions the week of August 20-24, 2007, the completion of the third roundabout (Stage 2) of the Maple Road roundabouts project will be delayed. Stage 2 of this project will continue into the month of September; therefore, Maple Road, from M-14 north to Craig Road, will remain CLOSED until further notice. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. Detour signs will be posted for this road closure. The DETOURS for Maple Road traffic, from M-14 north to Craig Road, will be various routes; via Miller Avenue, Wagner Road and Huron River Drive.
It is anticipated that the final roundabout will be completed and Maple Road will be reopened to the motoring public by mid-September 2007. However, be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones! The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the road system are completed.
