What: Westbound M-14 Ramp and Service Drive at Maple Road - TEMPORARY CLOSURES
When: Beginning 6:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2007
Where: Westbound M-14 Exit Ramp at Maple Road in Ann Arbor and Scio Townships
Why: Final paving of ramps and roundabouts for Stage 1 of the Maple Road improvements project.
NOTE: As a result of project delays due to rainy weather conditions, this Media Advisory supersedes the notice previously posted on July 24, 2007.
Background
The Westbound Maple Road M-14 exit ramp and westbound service drive connection at Maple Road will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED for final paving and pavement marking operations related to Stage 1 of the Maple Road roundabouts road improvement project. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. Detour signs will be posted for these closures.
Traffic will be detoured via the following routes:
- Westbound M-14 Exit Ramp DETOUR: Use Main
Street to Miller Avenue
- Maple Road Closure, Two-way DETOUR: Via Miller Avenue, Wagner Road, and Huron River Drive routes.
It is anticipated that the WB M-14 exit ramp and service drive will be reopened to traffic by 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007, weather permitting.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones! The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the road system are completed.
