What: Maple Road & M-14 Ramps - TEMPORARY CLOSURES

When: Friday, July 27, 2007 through Monday, July 30, 2007

Where: In Ann Arbor and Scio Townships at the following locations:

  • Maple Road / M-14 Interchange Ramps
  • Foss Street at Maple Road
  • Maple Road, from Foss Street to the westbound M-14 off-ramp

Why: Final paving of ramps and roundabouts for Stage 1 of this road improvement project

Background

The Maple Road & M-14 interchange ramps and service drives, the Foss Street connection at Maple Road, and Maple Road, between Foss Street and Timber Ridge Road, will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED for final paving and pavement marking operations related to Stage 1 of the Maple Road roundabouts road improvement project. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. Detour signs will be posted for these closures. Traffic will be detoured via the following routes: (See detours map)

  • Westbound M-14 off-ramp detour: Use Main Street to Miller Avenue.
  • Eastbound M-14 on-ramp detour: Use Jackson Road to Zeeb Road to eastbound I-94 to eastbound M-14.
  • Maple Road Closure: Two-way detour via Miller Avenue, Wagner Road and Huron River Drive routes
  • Foss Street Closure: Use Franklin Street and Fulmer Street to Miller Avenue.

It is anticipated that these roads will be reopened by the afternoon of Monday, July 30, 2007.

To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones! The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the road system are completed.
