Background

The Washtenaw County Road Commission will be closing the Seven Mile Road Bridge over the Johnson Creek Tributary, in Sections 2 and 11 of Salem Township. This short-span bridge is located between Currie Road and Chubb Road. This closure is being imposed due to the severe deterioration and failure of several beams and both abutments. A detour route will be posted.

In addition, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will be closing the Harris Road Bridge over Fowler Creek, in Sections 22 and 23 of Superior Township. This short-span bridge is located between Cherry Hill Road and Vreeland Road. The reason for the closure is due to the severe deterioration and failure of an abutment. A detour route will be posted.
