What:  Wagner Road - Shifting of Northbound (NB) Traffic

When:  Beginning Friday, June 22, 2007

Where:  Wagner Road, between Liberty Road and Jackson Road in Scio Township

Why:  Phase II Construction, Traffic Shift/Traffic Movements

Background

The Washtenaw County Road Commission has tentatively scheduled the SHIFTING OF NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC on the Wagner Road reconstruction project beginning on Friday, June 22, 2007; NB traffic will be shifted onto the newly paved concrete lane on Wagner Road just north of the Liberty Road intersection.

On Monday, June 25, 2007, Phase II construction operations will proceed on the east side of Wagner Road, beginning with the clearing of trees and brush.

Also beginning on Monday, northbound vehicles exiting the construction zone at the Wagner Road/Jackson Road intersection will be limited to one-lane and will be allowed to proceed ONLY EASTBOUND on Jackson Road. Those northbound vehicles with the intent of continuing north on Wagner Road or proceeding westbound on Jackson Road must use the Jackson Road cross-over. These traffic restrictions will remain in place for the duration of the Wagner Road project.

To maintain the safety of road crews, the posted speed within the project limits will continue to be 25 MPH. The Washtenaw County Sheriffs Department has been advised of the impending Phase I1 traffic shift onto the new concrete pavement.

The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our improvements on Wagner Road.
