What: Bridge Replacement Project

Where: Parker Road Bridge over Mill Creek, between I-94 and Gross Road in Lima and Scio Townships
Why: This bridge is being replaced due to structural failure
Background
On Wednesday, June 6, 2007, the Washtenaw County Road Commission began the demolition of the existing bridge between I-94 and Gross Road in Lima and Scio Townships, for the reconstruction of the Parker Road Bridge over Mill Creek.
The bridge has been closed since April 2006 due to structural failure and will remain closed throughout the bridge reconstruction project. The bridge is expected to be reopened to traffic some time in September and fully completed in October. There will not be a signed detour route for this project. Access for residents within the construction zone will be maintained.
