When: From Saturday, May 19, 2007 through Sunday, May 20, 2007
Where: Hewitt Road, from Ellsworth Road to Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti Township
Why: Utility Disconnect and Pavement Restoration
Background
Beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2007, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose an overnight lane closure on Hewitt Road, from Ellsworth Road to Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti Township, for utility disconnection and pavement restoration.
This section of Hewitt Road will remain open during the lane closure and lane shift, but there could be significant delays. Therefore, motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
It is anticipated that this project will be completed and all lanes will be reopened to traffic by approximately 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2007. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
