WHEN: Effective Thursday, May 30, 2019.

WHERE: Stony Creek Road over Buck Creek Tributary, between Carpenter Road and Sanford Road in York Township

WHY:
Structural deterioration

BACKGROUND: On Thursday, May 30, 2019, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Stony Creek Road over the Buck Creek Tributary, just east of Carpenter Road in York Township, due to the extensive structural deterioration of a cross road culvert.

WCRC decided to close this structure after determining structural deterioration during a recent culvert inspection.

The DETOUR for this road closure will utilize Carpenter Road to Willis Road to McCrone Road. Click here for a detour map.

A schedule to replace the culvert and reopen Stony Creek Road at this location is currently undetermined. WCRC thanks you in advance for your patience as the agency determines the best course of action to address this road closure.
