On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) reopened theintersection of Whittaker Road and Merritt Road in Ypsilanti Township after completing the construction of a single-lane roundabout.
WCRC encourages motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians to familiarize themselves with how to safely travel roundabouts. Vehicles circulating inside the roundabout have the right-of-way. Motorists/bicyclists wishing to enter the roundabout must slow down and yield, or sometimes stop, and wait to enter the roundabout when a safe gap is present.
