Culvert Closure – Currie Rd

By August 11, 2016Road Advisories

On Monday, August 15, 2016, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will CLOSE the Currie Road Culvert over the Tributary to Johnson Drain, due to extensive structural deterioration.  The culvert is located between Five Mile Road and Six Mile Road in Sections 14 & 15 of Salem Township.  The recommended closure of this structure was determined during a recent culvert inspection.
The posted DETOUR for this culvert closure will include Five Mile Road, Curtis Road and Six Mile Road.  The road will be closed by using concrete barrier and barricades.  A schedule to replace the culvert and reopen Currie Road at this location is undetermined at this time.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as the agency determines the best course of action to address this culvert closure.
