Prospective bidders shall conform to the Michigan Department of Transportation prequalification requirements. All subcontractors shall be required to meet the prequalification class of the particular items that they will be working on as part of this project. Bids shall be submitted electronically to BidExpress.com. A Digital ID from the BidExpress.com website will be required to submit a bid. Please allow for five (5) business days for BidExpress to approve and enable the Digital ID.
Proposals, plans, and other information will be also available by visiting www.BidExpress.com. A certified check or bidder’s bond in the sum of not less than five (5%) of the base bid price is required by the instructions to bidders.
The WCRC, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 200d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
